
Hi & welcome! You can call me Jenn – I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who offers personalized nutrition counseling for you and your unique set of challenges and strengths. It’s fun, at times challenging, and always very rewarding work. I can’t wait to meet you and get started!
I decided to become a dietitian when I was in college and I learned YOU COULD DO THAT (!). I’d been interested in food, cooking, and nutrition my entire adult life, and noticed that especially in my sensitive body what I ate made a BIG impact on how I felt. My family had a history of heart disease, and I also learned from a pretty young age the impact diet and lifestyle makes on one’s long term health and chronic disease risk.
I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a degree in Dietetics and again in 2008 with a Master’s in Nutrition. Since then I’ve had a career that’s felt really enriching and rewarding to me. I’ve worked advising patients in 3 hospitals (Mount Sinai in NYC, Piedmont Atlanta, and Piedmont Fayette), consulting on school menus in 1 school system, and have been in private practice a total of 7 years (my favorite!).
In my private practice, I focus on providing high quality, individualized nutrition counseling to a variety of patients. I’m passionate about what I do and how I do it. I don’t sell packages because I don’t like how that feels as a consumer myself, if my clients ever feel like pivoting their energy I want them to do that, knowing they’re always welcome to re-engage. Sometimes people want to hit it hard to see me weekly to get some real change going; sometimes people need a sec to digest some information and see what works. Whatever level of service you need, that’s what I’m here to provide. I can help with:
- Medical nutrition therapy to help manage newly diagnosed to complex medical conditions (diabetes, Crohn’s/colitis, celiac disease and other digestive disorders, heart disease)
- Family wellness support when things feel too hard or unmanageable: finding common ground to meet everyone’s needs
- Personalized nutrition recommendations to help you achieve your fitness goals for new or seasoned athletes (whether it’s your first marathon or 20th!)
- Intuitive eating coaching: reframing your relationship with food in a more positive light
- Ongoing support to help you work through challenges for as long as feels supportive to you!
